FreshLock Pro Unboxing: What's Actually in the Box
Before you buy, it helps to know exactly what shows up at your door. Here's the full contents list for both the standalone FreshLock Pro and the Starter Kit — no surprises.
FreshLock Pro ($74.99) — Box Contents
- 1x FreshLock Pro handheld vacuum sealer (210g)
- 1x USB-C charging cable
- 1x quick-start instruction card
- Detachable transparent drip tray (pre-installed)
Not included: vacuum bags. The Pro works with any standard embossed valve bag, so you can use bags you already own or order separately.
Starter Kit ($94.99) — Box Contents
Everything in the Pro package, plus:
- 30x embossed vacuum seal bags (medium size, reusable)
What You Won't Need to Buy Separately
- No AA batteries — it's USB-C rechargeable, so any phone charger, laptop charger, or power bank works
- No proprietary charging dock — standard USB-C cable, works with third-party cables too
- No special adapter for the drip tray — it's built in and detachable for cleaning, not a separate purchase
What You Might Want to Order Separately
- More bags once the included 30 (Starter Kit) run out — available in 30-packs ($29.99) or 50-packs ($39.99)
- A second sealer if you want one at home and one at a cottage/RV, since it's compact enough to be a genuine second unit rather than a chore to move around
First-Use Checklist
- Charge fully via USB-C before first use (roughly 2.5 hours)
- Attach the drip tray if it's been removed for cleaning
- Fill a bag, leaving 3-4 inches of empty space at the open end
- Flatten the open end over the embossed channel and clip the sealer on
- Run the seal cycle — done in seconds
Bottom Line
The Starter Kit is the "open the box and start sealing today" option. The standalone Pro is for anyone who already has bags on hand or plans to order a specific bag size separately.
